Our throw pillows are made from 100% spun polyester poplin fabric and add a stylish statement to any room. Pillows are available in sizes from 14" x 14" up to 26" x 26". Each pillow is printed on both sides (same image) and includes a concealed zipper and removable insert (if selected) for easy cleaning.

Gyotaku is the traditional fish printing process used in Japan to record a fisherman's catch. The fish is inked, a piece of rice or mulberry paper is carefully laid over the fish and the image is transferred through rubbing and patting. The eye is usually removed prior to the printing process as it would just be a black blob if printed. Eyes are hand painted after the print is dry. The finished prints often are hung from strings suspended from the ceiling in bait and tackle shops. The two fish in this print were made using the same animal. It was a type of sea bass called red snapper in California. Although, it is not a true red snapper.
