From the song Darkness, Darkness by Jesse Colin Young

It is a hidden away area that is somewhat forgotten. The brown residue on the walls and ceiling is, I believe, badly deteriorated acoustic spray. The subject matter is just plain ugly. I'm drawn to that at times. I am sure there must be some deep rooted psychological explanation for why I find beauty in imperfection. In an attempt to diffuse those kinds of accusations, regardless of how accurate they may be, I am writing this statement today. Each picture I make begins with a germ of an idea.
