It is a hidden away area that is somewhat forgotten. The brown residue on the walls and ceiling is, I believe, badly deteriorated acoustic spray. The subject matter is just plain ugly. I'm drawn to that at times. I am sure there must be some deep rooted psychological explanation for why I find beauty in imperfection. I have always been attracted to a car with a rough paint job; a dog with three legs that can hold its own; a pretty girl with a space between her teeth or a largish nose. I think those kinds of things add character and set the subject apart. In the end, I find things and people who are flawed in some way as much more appealing and interesting than the ideals of beauty that our society...
