Description
...dawn grieves
along the immense stairways,
seeking amidst the groins
spikenards of fine-drawn anguish.
The dawn comes and no one receives it in his mouth,
for there no morn or hope is possible.
Excerpted from the poem The Dawn by Federico Garcia Lorca

William this is exceptional. The rays from the sun and shadows directly below them and the grid/ texture of the sidewalk. The lightbeckons like the light at the end of a dark tunnel. There's no rhyme or reason to taste. fav/v/fb

William I really like this photo makes me wonder about the mans story. What is he thinking as he walks? Why is he alone? Where is he going? all this comes to mind. I like that he is in the distance away from the camera that makes him seem more alone. I also like the light shinning down but not right on him or his path... he truely is alone great work voted
William Fields replied:
Thanks very much for your thoughtful comments Sue. I'm glad when someone really looks at a piece and thinks about it. I feel that is what our contemplation of art should be. Thank you again.

This is a fascinating image and descriptive prose, William. The capture of the suns rays, the angles of the sidewalk, the arch and the clouds make for a compelling b/w image ! V
