perfect serenity here v.

William Fields replied:

Bryan, thanks. I shoot this locale often and without exception when I drive my car up to the hilltop above the scene and get out to look around, I can feel the change in my body, mind and spirit. I take a deep breath and drink in this special spot.

Splendid landscape view! v/f

William Fields replied:

Marcia, thanks very much! Missouri reminds me so much of places I grew up in Connecticut. The ozarks aren't as big as the Appalachians, but they are very beautiful and the Missouri River is a wonderful part of this lovely land.

Artist's Description

"There is a privacy about it which no other season gives you ..... In spring, summer and fall people sort of have an open season on each other; only in the winter, in the country, can you have longer, quiet stretches when you can savor belonging to yourself."
- Ruth Stout

This January countryside sweeps down off my roadside perch and stretches across the rich bottom land to the wide Missouri River in the distance. I have often stopped at this place to drink in the view. It isn't a place one would normally stop. There really isn't a place to park but there is not much traffic so I just pull off on the shoulder and wonder if the owners mind that I'm trespassing. There is another picture in another season taken from the same place. I will give a free print of this image to the first visitor who finds the other picture and sends me an email.

Please feel free to share the picture on this page and any of my other photos with friends, family and associates.
