Nicely done Bill! v

Thank you Kate. I'm happy with the processing. Funny thing, this one doesn't look bad in full color either.

Artist's Description

O’ Rourke’s Diner – Middletown, Connecticut
O’Rourke’s is owned and operated by Brian O’Rourke, chef extraordinaire. This is very possibly, the best place to eat breakfast on the planet! Lunch isn’t bad either. Brian frequently greets customers with a sample of something he’s been working on. The samples don’t usually appear on the menu and if you ask him what it is, Brian will just reply; “It’s good.” And believe it; it is good, very, very good! I asked one of the veteran servers what Brian had given us. She hunched her shoulders and rolled her eyes. Brian has a devoted local following and then there are those of us who travel from afar to enjoy some great eating. O’Rourke’s was featured on Guy Fieri’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives show on the Food Network. The restaurant consistently appears on every ‘best of’ list and in books about diners. Artists have been accused of being self aggrandizing, long winded, name droppers. I hate it when the critics get it right! In an attempt to diffuse those kinds of accusations, regardless of how accurate they may be, I am writing this statement today. Each picture I make begins with a germ of an idea. I visualize how I...
