A little boy got out of bed
'Twas only six o'clock
And out the window poked his head.
And spied a crowing cock.
The little boy said, "Mr. Bird,
Pray tell me who are you?'
And all the answer that he heard
Was, "Cock-a-doodle-doo!"
'What would you think, if you were me,
He said, "and I were you?”
But still that bird provokingly
Cried, "Cock-a-doodle-doo!"
From the poem Cock a doodle doo, author unknown

Artists have been accused of being self aggrandizing, long winded, name droppers. I hate it when the critics get it right! In an attempt to diffuse those kinds of accusations, regardless of how accurate they may be, I am writing this statement today. Each picture I make begins with a germ of an idea. I visualize how I...

William, What incredible detail! Love the iridescence of the feathers! voted
William Fields replied:
Thanks Cheri. Happy accident. I was walking along a gravel road going into an area where Trolleys were stored by a museum and these guys were at a little place along the road. You can't tell by my crop, but the birds were outside of their enclosure. Hope they didn't get in trouble with Farmer Brown...
