Artist's Description
In an old time blacksmith's shop, the hammers, chisels and tongs sit waiting by the forge. Blacksmithing is an ancient art and is described in the legends of most cultures. The Hindu smith was Tvastar. He was Hephaestus to the Greeks and Vulcan to the Romans. In Ireland he was Goibhniu. In England and Germany he was Volundr. This image is at the Luxenhaus Farm near Marthasville, Missouri. It was shot with an infrared camera and processed in NIK Silver.
