Artist's Description

The men stood silently awaiting the words from their colonel. The time was finally here. All of their training and preparation were now being called upon. Not one had experienced a more somber moment. They were now ready to place themselves in harm's way. The ultimate sacrifice was no longer an abstract idea. It had become a very potential reality with the words they now heard. Marching orders.

The image is a group of men who are Civil War reenactors. The seriousness of their expressions lends itself to the title and description I have used. The picture was shot during a Civil War reenactment in Hermann, Missouri.

All of my works are fine art photographs. The Fine Art America algorithms do not allow photos to be sold as original art so in order to offer the original piece, my work must be listed as digital art. My work offered as "original' means that I will not sell the image to anyone else. The purchaser is guaranteed a one of a kind image which can only be acquired...
