This beautiful fellow opened up with a full-throated howl just as I was ready to take his photo. Can you imagine my excitement and delight? It felt like Christmas came early.
I did a linocut of a similar subject a number of years ago and used it as a Christmas Card with this title as the inscription. I think this photograph is a candidate for this year's card. The image is one I shot in the Lakota Wolf Preserve in Mount Pleasant, New Jersey.
