Artist's Description

I sold my piano, it couldn't come with me
I locked up my bedroom and I walked out into the air
Nothing I needed is left there behind me
I walk out through the shadows of Washington Square

So cover this warm night
In a blanket of starlight
Then I'll follow this freeway
Out into the air

In case you should wonder
And wanted to find me
I'm traveling homeward to Washington Square

From the song Washington Square performed by Counting Crows and written by Millard Powers, David Bryson, David Immergluck, James Bogios, Charles Gillingham, Daniel Vickrey, Adam Duritz

The view from the tenth floor of one of the NYU campus buildings in Greenwich Village, NYC.

Artists have been accused of being self aggrandizing, long winded, name droppers. I hate it when the critics get it right! In an attempt to diffuse those kinds of accusations, regardless of how accurate they may be, I am writing this statement today. Each picture I make begins with a germ of an idea. I visualize how I...
