From the poem Marie Laveau by Barbara LaBarbera aka Thunderwolf
Marie Laveau was the Voodoo Queen of New Orleans. There were actually two Maries. The first was the original and the second was one of her 15 children. The building in this picture houses a voodoo shop called Marie Laveau's House of Voodoo: http://voodooneworleans.com/index.php Some say that it was once occupied by the second Ms. Laveau.
