Artist's Description

During World War II, the government required Detroit to reallocate production facilities to vehicles that supported the war effort with a handful of exceptions. As a consequence the vehicles produced from about 1941 to 1946 all look pretty much the same as automakers were too busy to come up with new styles to entice consumers. This beauty was built in that period. I don't know how to tell a 41 from a 46. I imagine those in the know could tell at a glance. The state of preservation of this vehicle is such that I believe it would be a grand candidate for a project.
