Stand Beside Me is a landscape in simplest terms. When I look at this picture I feel as if I am there again. There is an immediacy about the sense of standing in that little clearing, high above the lake, seeing the storm on the horizon. Not only do I feel as if I am there again, but I feel as if you, the viewer, are there standing beside me.
