Description
I came upon this old beauty in a parking lot. It makes me think of the old Mickey Mouse cartoons where he drove a yellow convertible about. At least in my memory it was yellow. That isn't always the most reliable thing.

Willilam, you have a beautiful old car in a deserted well lite parking lot. What a find! Graying the values beyond the car adds a loveliness to the convertable color and reflections. Even the angle of the photo from the front lets one enjoy the "face" one can see in the big headlights and the bumper mouth. v/f
William Fields replied:
Thank you Kathy. I like that you see that face. Another feature that interests me is the reflection of the sky and clouds in the fenders, particularly the one on the left. Thanks again

William, great job at photographing this car, I have a special gallery on my web site dedicated to classic cars and muscle cars and a car like this would fit in perfectly. Really enjoy what you did to the background toning it down to make the car stand out more then it already did. Great angle at shooting this car also, I ran into some professional car photographers several months ago and they were giving me tips on always capture part of the front grill and run your photo along the side so you have a little of everything, unless there is something remarkable on the side or front that must be shot by itself. Excellent photo, voted, favorite and FB promoted
William Fields replied:
John, thanks very much for the kind compliments and sharing the shooting tips. I kind of do what I do intuitively. I frame the subject with the design of the picture and the composition in mind in the same way I would shoot a person or a cow or a building. I will definitely think about these concepts as I continue to look for great vehicles. Appreciate it all. There are more cars, trucks and other equipment in my Automata Gallery and on my FB page. I'll look for your FB page too and friend you out there.

William, this is a great picture, vote for this! I take it very close - just made the work of the similar subject, it is Red Shark - can find it on my page
William Fields replied:
Thanks very much Sergey, I did see your Red Shark image and voted for it. I have several other cars, trucks and other types of equipment in my Automata Gallery. Thanks again

with a husband and son who love cars and vintage autos....beautiful.....great color and presentation....v/f
William Fields replied:
Thanks Barbara, I'm a little overwhelmed with the response to this picture. I like cars and I know others do but I've been receiving great compliments from people who are less enamored that still see the picture as art. I'm really grateful and I know that most of you are friends from CFC.
