Description
I was trying to create a picture that looked as if I had found it in a box in the attic. I think this succeeds; owing in large part to the filters in NIK EFX Silver. Luxenhaus is low German or Platt Deutsch, for log home. The Luxenhaus Farm is a village of historic log buildings that have been reconstructed on a wooded hollow near Marthasville, Missouri. This building was a milking barn in another time and place. During the fall tourist season, there are sometimes, dairy cows and goats residing here for visitors to try their hands.
The farm is the brainchild of a wonderful man named Bob Hostetter. Bob is getting up in years and is looking for someone to come and live on this land that can help with the upkeep in exchange for lodging and for a stipend. Let me know if you know any grad students in history who might like preserving the past in this unique place.
