Description
The U.S.S. Intrepid, CVS 11 was built during WWII. She was decomissioned after the war. The ship was recommissioned in the 1950's as a fast attack carrier and later as a submarine hunter aircraft carrier (CVS). Today the Intrepid sits at a dock on the Hudson River in New York City and serves as a museum.

Thanks Gallery Three. I think there's something like 40 meters of keel below the water line plus the weight of the diesel engines and the screws and the fuel oil for the ship's engines and the storage of JP5 aircraft fuel. There's quite a bit below the water line.
