At first I saw nothing.
Then, as if it were a ghost,
The boat appeared sitting by its mooring.
Its running lights were aglow, amber in the fog.
The dawn was chill,
But I only needed a little patience
To find this before my eyes.
Give Us This Day is a poem written by William Fields as a caption for this picture of the same name.
