There is a field that I pass along Missouri Highway 100 that overlooks forests, farms and fields. I have photographed at that sight on many occasions always looking for "The Shot". This morning the dawn light was pretty special and I thought I would find some great vistas at this field. I parked the car and walked out into the field headed toward this fence gate. It's the highest point in the field and I thought I'd have the best views from up there. When I got to the gate, the sweet morning light was so fine reflecting off the fence, I started shooting the fence and forgot about the larger view. In the end, I did take several variations of the vista and will work on those soon. But it was this little stretch of fence and the sound of the Cole Porter song in my head that drove my passion. I hope you like what I found.

William, Fantastic capture of this fence and the photo has such remarkable depth to it that it just draws you in and makes you continue to look down the fence and the plains on the side of it. Remarkable sky shot and great details in the foreground and background. Excellent photo, voted, google and tweet promoted

My favorite part of your narrative, William - "When I got to the gate, the sweet morning light was so fine reflecting off the fence, I started shooting the fence and forgot about the larger view." You got lost in the moment...I love those words because that is exactly when so many beautiful moments in life "happen". Great title for this image. v/f
William Fields replied:
Ann, thanks for your kindness and understanding. It's very difficult to explain these kinds of things to those who are not artists.
