Bright Angel Trail is a pathway from the South to the North rim of Grand Canyon. Hikers and mule riders make the trek by this path. Some descend and ascend in the same day. Others make the entire journey camping along the way at Phantom Ranch. To my eye, this image feels somewhat like a topographical map.
