Description
As dawn broke the sky was filled with contrails from flights in and out of Saint Louis Lambert Airport, ninety miles up the road. I was hiking back to my car after a dawn shoot and noticed these trees with the patterns in the sky and the word "branching" came into my mind. It is as if the contrails were extensions of the tree branches. I shot three frames. This is the one I liked best of the group. The abstract quality of the juxtaposed, combined natural and man made shapes satisfy an aesthetic craving in my personality. There is the implication of the branching of the spirit from a sacred place within each of us extending out to each and every other one of us.

Don't Know what happened with my comment. I re-favorited and re-voted just in case. I did compose a comment describing how eye striking this image is. Love the color contrasts, some very deep some very light and even a monochrome portion in the sky. Spectacular light effect of the sunset and the cloud trails. The two trees in contraposition add interest as well as texture and wonderful photographic composition. Congratulations!
