Sonny Landreth is a Louisiana musician who plays lead guitar for Jimmy Buffet and currently performs with his own band. Sonny is a slide guitar player par excellence. He frets notes and plays chords and chord fragments behind the slide simultaneously. He is known for a right-hand technique that includes tapping, slapping, and picking strings with all fingers. In this picture, the ubiquitous bottle of water of the title sits just behind Sonny on top of the amplifier.
