Description
The low key, desaturated look of this picture is a nod to Andrew Wyeth. I have been studying his work of late and I wanted to make a picture that had the feel of one of his paintings. The title is a nod to Wyeth as well. One of his images of a dog is called Ides of March.
I don't know the dog's name. I'm sure someone will tell me soon. He was just out enjoying the weather, as I was.

Gotta love how he has his eyes on you William...he's gonna stay in this pose as long as it takes for you to achieve your Wyeth dream. Well you did it and the next image is of this pup nodding off with his head resting on his paws. And that would be a sweet August afternoon for you and the pup. I enjoy your back stories as much as your images. V

William, Fantastic image of this large dog laying down in a field of grass, you have managed to capture such amazing details in the dog and the foreground and background that he is laying on. They say when photographing or painting a person or animal make sure you always capture the eyes correctly and you have done that here. His eyes speak to the viewer of this photo. Sorry to say I am not familiar with the work of Andrew Wyeth but I will look it up for the future. Excellent photo, voted, google, tweet and FB promoted
