The arctic wolf, Canis Lupos Arctos is a subspecies of the gray wolf. They are the only wolf species that are not threatened due to their habitat in the Arctic Circle. Although, their food supply is threatened by man. Musk ox and arctic hares are being threatened by the incursion of mines, pipelines and other activities of men. This could ultimately have a negative impact on these noble animals. This arctic wolf resides in the Lakota Wolf Preserve in Mount Pleasant, New Jersey.
