From Joyce Kilmer to Wendell Berry, artists have been creating tributes to trees for all of time. I have driven 50 miles and more to a special spot to make a picture and come home with one of a tree. Trees inspire us with their power and strength and longevity. Trees bless us with symbiosis. They shade us from the blistering summer sun and they provide warmth and cheer from the hearth in winter. Trees sing to us in the wind and give us life. They are our mothers in nature and our anchors in philosophy.
