Description
I owe apologies to Sir Walter Scott for the title. These are branches in the undergrowth alongside the one third mile long gravel road that serves as our driveway. Our house is at a little higher elevation than most of the surrounding area. As a consequence, we have a micro-climate. It’s often quite a bit cooler here on “The Hill” than just a third of a mile down to where the paved highway goes by the entrance to our place. On other occasions we will have bright sunshine while the town and countryside below is socked in with fog. This picture was taken on a recent morning. When I drove into town, there was hardly any snow at all on the trees and even less on the ground, yet in our little world there was a winter wonderland.

This one almost takes on an abstract look... nice shot William. fv
William Fields replied:
Thanks Nick, appreciate it. Philosophically speaking, whenever we portray a three dimensional subject in a two dimensional plane, it is always an abstract in the strictest sense. I think this is a concept that we too often forget in our pursuit of realism.
