The Road goes ever on and on
Out from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone.
Let others follow, if they can!
Let them a journety new begin.
But I at last with weary feet
Will turn towards the lighted inn,
My evening-rest and sleep to meet.
Still 'round the corner there may wait
A new road or secret gate;
And though I oft have passed them by,
A day will come at last when I
Shall take the hidden paths that run
West of the Moon, East of the Sun.

Wonderful image William! My eye naturally follows that road, aware it's not heavily travelled as the grasses still grow in the hump. It would be quiet if one stops the vehicle and gets out to listen. Love it! v/g+

Thanks Barbara, the scene and the road are typical of the land around where I live in Missouri. We're 30 miles from the nearest supermarket or movie theater. The natural beauty makes up for the inconvenience

William, the lure of the road is always there for those of us who seek adventure in travel. Your composition invites me in to discover what lies beyond the next hill. Will it be a quaint farmyard, lovely wildflowers, a beautiful songbird? I'll let you know when I return. voted
