Description
Times were hard and there wasn’t much money. We had a few chickens for eggs and hunted for meat. We had a nice kitchen garden and we saved our seeds from year to year. We ate well enough and we were happy enough. Paw grew some tobacco and cotton to sell for what little money we did see. I might have had a hole in the knee of my jeans or the seat of my pants, but when I went to school or church, my clothes were clean. It was a good life and we had cows in the yard.
All of my works are fine art photographs. The Fine Art America algorithms do not allow photos to be sold as original art so in order to offer the original piece, my work must be listed as digital art. My work offered as "original' means that I will not sell the image to anyone else. The purchaser is guaranteed a one of a kind image which can only be acquired through direct contact with me. The art photo is printed using the highest quality materials available today and is certified to be one of a kind. There are a number of factors that separate the work from production or giclee prints. I personally supervise the printing and control the source material. You are guaranteed a unique work of art.
I deeply and humbly appreciate all the kind words and support I receive about my work. The greatest compliment you can pay me is to share my work with others. Please share it on Facebook, on Twitter and other social media. Or, just send the url to a friend or family member who might enjoy seeing it in an email. Spread the word to any and all that you think will find what I do interesting and appealing.
Please contact me by email to order my recently published Acclaim Press book, Hermann, Missouri, One of the Prettiest Towns in America.
Watch my postings for announcements on two other photo books that are in the works.
The Fine Art America Watermark will not appear on any products purchased.

Lovely post processing. The coloring is perfect for the image. Especially the foliage on the tree with the contrast of the trunk is lovely.
William Fields replied:
Much appreciated Nancy! The sepia tones are close to what comes out of the IR converted camera. By they way, if anyone is interested, I am selling this camera. Contact me by email.

Very nice work---bringing back all kinds of memories of my childhood. I loved those times. However, I might say that I have had cows in my yard here---once when they broke through a fence at a farm down the road. They were serious and tore up what was in their path. I was so amazed I didn't think to pick up the camera! Thanks for sharing the story---lvf
William Fields replied:
Thanks Nava! And, thanks for sharing your own story of cows in the yard. I know this happens more often than not in rural areas. We've had wanderers too.

William, of all your awesome pieces, this one is by far my favorite! Perhaps because of my roots also. Just viewed the documentary of "A River Runs Through It" featuring your work and it was wonderful! L/Fhttp://fineartamerica.com/featured/moonrise-over-the-bottoms-october-william-fields.html
