Description
The Coliseum by night is a visual treat. I was looking for a view that did not include the entire pastiche. This in camera crop which included the tree to the left of center satisfied my intention. The color version of the image was not unpleasant, but I find that pictures of very well known edifices tend to read well as monochromes. The black and white treatment adds to the timeless sense that the subject deserves.
