Description
Fishing and boats are an enormous part of life in Alaska. This old beauty was in a kind of graveyard for boats on the Homer Spit. I love all kinds of conveyances as subjects for my work, but I have a special place in my heart for old boats. The combination of the boat with that sweet morning light spoke to me. For in the end, no matter what the subject is, most of my pictures are still landscapes and that is where my heart belongs.

Good eye! I was in Homer Spit in 2011. Stayed in small village Ninilchik. I loved the whole area. Congratulations on the win in Viewbug!

Many thanks Jim! I was ready to move there. I still think about it. Thanks again for the support and kind comments!

Wonderful capture of love for the environment around you, and seeing it through your eyes! I am sure each boat has a story! L/F
