Description
As I roam through these hills
I spy one structure
That sits atop a crude collis palatinus.
There two naked children nurse
From a woman called Lupa
In the quiet house hidden from my sight.
She nurtures her adopted pups
as she waits; for a great city is in the making
Within her milky breasts.
And these scions of the land will build it.
As simple farmers they will lead others on
Only to end their turmoil through fratricidal tragedy
Before creating a dream that will last one thousand years.
The sky itself seems to rise up and carry the dreams
Of Mars and Hercules over a land that will be blessed
With acres and acres of succotash.
Because, that is what the first people here
Named their crops of corn and beans.
Acres and Acres of Succotash is an original poem by William Fields
This is a recent interpretation of a picture I had posted previously. I was reading a book on Infrared Photography and came across a piece that described using a single raw image to create a "pseudo" HDR, Infrared image. I didn't think there was anything pseudo about it and I chose this picture to experiment with the technique.

William, Great landscape shot with such an awesome sky it overpowers everything else in this photo. Love the clouds building up power and roaming as they make there way across the sky. Excellent details and remarkable clarity in this photo. Fantastic photo, voted, google promoted

You have created a sweetly, moody image here, William...interesting as it applies to the notion of literal and figurative abundance...v/f.

Wow, what an oppressive looking sky. Looks like they were really in for it in the farm house. I think the black and white really makes this.
